Yes I remember. But discussion of that recount doesn't seem complete without presenting what Hart's side was arguing about why they were in their view wrongly disqualified.

Hiya Trish, I wrote quite a bit about the 22 in 2020. They were interesting because IF counted, they could have changed the outcome of the election.

Here's the rub: those ballots had an a variety of issues that counting board said disqualified them from being counted. They ranged from issues with the ballot signature to the way the envelope was sealed. Iowa has a number of requirements for absentee ballots to be counted. And in a normal election it wouldn't matter but in 2020, it came down to hairs. Thanks for asking!
